Immediately after the disaster

Once the disaster has settled; put your emergency plans in place!

  • Meet with your mates and loved ones as planned
  • If phone networks are still working, send text messages as calling people may clog up the networks
  • If you stay home if it is safe to do so, turn off water and gas supply if there is a leak
  • Make sure your supplies are accessible if you need to live outside.
  • If you evacuate, take your emergency getaway items
